Conveniently located in center of the City of Rochester, The Main Street Armory at 900 East Main can be reached through I-390 in the west or I-590 in the east via I-490 and the Inner Loop. The massive castle-like fortress was originally the headquarters for western New York's 3rd Army Battalion in 1905. In the process of being fully renovated, it now offers a 40,000 square foot hardwood main floor with Wi-Fi Internet access, several meeting rooms and a soon to open restaurant, all on the first floor alone. The facility has a ramp in the rear of the building.

    Stephen Reinhard

    Regis Hoffman

ROPEX 2014 is honored to have an extrordinary panel of jurors for our show with 5 accredited chairs! We are also
making history, as ROPEX is the final stop on Tim Bartshe's journey to judge at every APS "World Series of Philately" event!

Tim Bartshe's collecting and exhibiting specialties center around southern Africa and Ecuador in traditional, postal stationery and revenue classes. He has won single frame national golds for 12 different exhibits, several multi-frame national golds, and 2 FIP multi-frame international golds. In 15 years he has judged over 80 US national shows in addition to national shows in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the APS Committee for Accreditation of National Exhibitions and Judges (CANEJ) as well as an APS jury chairman and Federaci n Interamericana de Filatelia (FIAF) judge.

Liz Hisey has been a collector and exhibitor for many years. She is an APS Chief Judge and also a member of the Committee for Accreditation of National Exhibitions and Judges (CANEJ). Additionally Liz is a member of the Council of Phlatelists at the National Postal Museum in Washington D.C., Secretary for the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors and is one of the founders of Women Exhibitors (WE). She is married to fellow collector and exhibitor/author Bob Hisey.

Ken Nilsestuen is the treasurer of the American Philatelic Society, the Institute for Analytical Philately, and other organizations. He is also president of the France and Colonies Philatelic Society. Ken is an exhibitor and APS Chief Judge. His Algerian postal history exhibit has been in the Champion of Champions, and his Minnesota Territorial Centennial illustrated mail exhibit earned a gold medal its first time out. He lives in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, and is enjoying semi-retirement very much.

Steven Reinhard is President of the American Philatelic Society, having also served as APS Vice President and CANEJ Chairman and holding top level positions in many premier national and international philatelic groups, including The Collectors Club, Philatelic Foundation, FIP Aerophilately Commission, and International Federation of Aerophilatelic Societies (FISA). Honors include having been elected into the American Airmail Society's Aerophilatelic Hall of Fame and named a Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society, London.

Regis Hoffman, a judging apprentice, is a collector of British East Africa (stamps, postal history and revenues), British Commonwealth, world-wide military and censored mail, and Hollywood fan mail. He is a member of numerous philatelic societies and writes articles for many of them. He is the past president of the Philatelic Society of Pittsburgh. His current exhibits include "Letters to the Stars," "Allied Forces in East Africa, World War I" and "Polish Refugees in Africa, World War II." This is his third apprenticeship.
