| First, here is a prepared cover showing the three philatelic phases of Israel. To the left is a 3-mil stamp of Palestine with a typical mandate cancel of the Tel Aviv. It shows the last date of Palestinian postage. In the middle we have an example of the labels prepared for postal use during the Interim period, with the Minal'hat Hyam cancel of Tel Aviv. And finally, the first issue of the State of Israel and the First Day cancel of Tel Aviv. The stamp, by the way, is a roulette version of the first issue not frequently found. |
